Corporate League

The Firebrands Corporate Hockey League was set up a number of years ago to allow the community to enjoy 11-a-side, mixed, sociable hockey in a friendly environment. A wide variety of companies and organisations participate, all from the Bristol area.

We run regular matches on Monday nights in a league system, plus annual 7-a-side tournaments which provide a great opportunity to promote team building and interact with other businesses.

Key Rules

Normal 11-a-side hockey rules apply but there are some exceptions to make the game safe and enjoyable for all:

  • Teams to have a minimum of 5 Ladies playing outfield
  • Men are NOT permitted to strike penalty corners
  • No reverse stick or tomahawk hits anywhere within the 23 metre area
  • Games will be 30 mins each way with a 3 min half time
